Mayari – Philippine Goddess of the Moon and War

A tribute to my heritage, this stylized portrayal of Mayari weaves mythology into visual storytelling.

Tools used: Maya, Zbrush, XGen, Mari, V-Ray
Disciplines: Modeling and Sculpting, Hair Groom, Texturing and Look Development

Mayari is part of my heritage, and this piece is my way of honoring her story. As the Philippine goddess of the moon and war, she embodies both grace and ferocity—qualities I aimed to capture through stylized design choices, supported by realistic detail and material nuance. I sculpted her in ZBrush, textured in Mari, and rendered in V-Ray, with hair grooming in XGen and scene work in Maya. From the bone necklace to the crescent moon headpiece, every detail was a chance to explore identity, mythology, and visual storytelling. She’s a character—but also a tribute to the stories that shaped me.
